The 2019 hair trends you’ll want to try now

Floral Fancies

Flowers in the hair were taken out of the playground and onto the runway for a whimsical, romantic take on summer hair. Tucked into veiled up-dos, and adorning loose lengths, fresh roses in shades of red, pink and peach were used at Rodarte. While at Mansur Gavriel yellow florals cascaded down models manes.

Tip…

Styling products that provide grit and hold are needed along with a plethora of grips to hold your floral fancies in place. To ensure product build-up doesn’t negatively affect the health of your hair use a clarifying shampoo such as the Crystalisse Hair Shampoo.

Beach Babe

Bronzed skin and apricot lids instantly transported the Prabal Gurung show viewers to summer days, but what truly set the scene was the matt, windswept, textured beachy manes. The likes of Bella and Gigi Hadid had their hair nonchalantly teased back, and tied with colorful twine – with a few loose strands for good measure.

Tip…

Backcombing brushes the hair back as the name suggests. This goes against the direction of the cuticle cells, and in so doing causes damage to the hair fibre. Try to reduce your backcombing behaviour where possible and start using the Caviar4 Hair Serum Elixir, as the caviar extracts present help repair signs of damage.

Colourful Chameleon

Crazy colour is back, vivid yet chic in hues of greens, blues, and purples. Displayed in striking statement lengths as seen at The Blonds and Lanyu, or woven into the hair and peeking through as models sashayed down the Collina Strada runway.

Tip…

For colour that looks as vibrant as the day you left the salon be sure to use an anti-fade shampoo and conditioner. The Luminage collection contains a trio of powerful actives to reconstruct and fortify the hair, which is just what weaker coloured hair needs, plus it prevents colour fade and adds luminosity to boot.

Sky High

Brandon Maxwell’s Texas-inspired show saw models walk the runway with sky high hair – because ‘everything is bigger in Texas!’. Tresses looked beautiful, fresh and healthy and were styled back from the face with an abundance of volume from the crown. Volume also reigned supreme at the Escada show, but with a decidedly eighties vibe thanks to the inclusion of curls and texture.

Tip…

Before styling, prep hair with volumising formulas. The Aquavol Collection locks in moisture, forms a protective barrier around the hair shaft and adds major weightless volume to your mane.
