Big Hair Hacks

As seen at the Versace, Kate Spade, and Brandon Maxwell SS19 shows, we predict voluminous hair will be big this season.

However, a lack of natural volume is one of the most common hair woes for women around the world. Luckily there are ways to alter ‘what your momma gave ya’, and turn limp lifeless hair into high-volume tresses. Read on to discover how…

  1. It might sound like a no-brainer but what you wash your hair with makes all the difference. Use a shampoo that effectively rids your mane of dirt and product build-up while adding volume and hydration. Kerluxe Aquavol Hair Shampoo, does just that. The combination of Black Oat Extract and hair friendly Peptides use moisture lock and volume stimulation technology to restore suppleness, strength and give your mane major oomph.

  1. Use a two-pronged approach to achieve long-term volume. Each time you cleanse and condition, give fine limp hair an extra boost with the Kerluxe Aquavol Leave-In Therapy. Simply spray onto damp hair, a few centimeters from the roots, leave for 5 minutes, rinse out and expect an instant lift. Your second plan of attack should be a treatment solution such as the Kerluxe Re-activisse Power Concentrate Hair Lotion. This stimulates hair follicle stem cells to improve growth and long-term density.

  1. Blow-dry your mane upside down. Why? When you flip your head upside down your roots are automatically lifted off your scalp, and drying in this position will ‘set’ them in place for lasting volume. Rough dry until hair is 80-90 per cent dry, then use a round brush to smooth. To finish, part your hair off-centre, the deeper the parting and the more off centre it is the more height you’ll be able to create. If you find the ‘thinner’ side needs some added body, take some inspiration from the 80’s and backcomb the under section at the roots.
